The Walking Dead 813: Five to watch and one to watch out for
By Jamie Brewer
2. Jadis
Jadis did not have an appearance in “Do Not Send Us Astray”, but it’s been pretty hard to forget about her. She still has Negan, and the trailers for episode 14 suggest that we’re finally going to see more about how that unfolded. There are plenty of unknowns though, and we have yet to see them exchange words. Perhaps Negan will set the record straight on Simon’s dereliction of duty and propose a new deal. That way, Jadis could deliver an epic comeuppance to Simon and could stand to gain even more by returning Negan to power.
On the other hand, she has a high-value hostage to bargain for Rick’s undivided attention. What we still don’t know about Jadis is what she actually wants now that she is on her own. Before Simon massacred her group, she sought deals that would further enhance the security of her community. Now that she is the sole benefactor of any future deals she crafts, her fight for survival becomes more personal. Whatever she decides, it will have a huge impact on both sides.
