8) Simon’s declaration of being “Tired of waiting [To massacre Hilltop]” is somewhat ironic. The whole reason (One could assume, anyway) that he took it upon himself to essentially usurp Negan in the previous episode was because he was “tired of waiting” for Negan to retaliate against Hilltop.

9) It’s funny how nonchalantly Simon dismisses the captured Saviors, considering the reason he wanted to launch this attack in the first place was Maggie threatening to kill the captured Saviors! Seriously, slaughtering The Scavengers must have chilled him out or something.

10) Derek (The Savior who slashed Tobin) is the twelfth named Savior killed this season.

11) Much as we saw two episodes earlier, Tara’s had a change of heart about Dwight, defending him against Daryl’s suspicions, in spite of him shooting her with a bolt.

12) During her discussion with Daryl about Dwight’s nature, Tara references her time with The Governor (Back in Season 4). I think this is the first time she’s mentioned that association since formally meeting Rick back in Season Five’s “Strangers”.

13) Tara also references Merle, who we’ve not heard referenced since at least Season Six’s “Twice As Far”, coincidentally, in a conversation between Daryl and Denise.

14) Daryl tells Tara that, had he stuck with Merle when the pair broke away from the group (Back in Season Three’s “Home”), they’d have ended up with The Saviors, or a group like them. This seems to be hearkening back to Merle’s criminal past, and possibly, Daryl’s own dalliance with The Claimers back in Season Four.

15) While talking to an injured Tobin, Carol addresses her departure from Alexandria in Season Six’s “East”, as well as its affect on their budding relationship. This is the first time that has been addressed since that episode.
