Walker Stalker Chicago – Saturday highlights from Fan Fest 2018

Fans of The Walking Dead got treated to a ton of guests, panels, and interaction during Walker Stalker Con at Fan Fest Chicago 2018 on Saturday, April 7th.
Any time that you have an opportunity to go to either a Walker Stalker event or a Fan Fest, you should jump at the opportunity. Fans can have a lot of fun whether they are planning on getting a bunch of autographs or just sitting in on panels and interacting with other fans.
Saturday, April 7, 2018 was the first day of Walker Stalker Chicago at Fan Fest. The event at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center was an amazing experience for the massive crowd in attendance.
Although there were a lot of things happening at once, here are some of the highlights from Saturday’s festivities.
Troublemakers panel
Putting Jayson Warner Smith, Pollyanna McIntosh, and Steven Ogg together for a panel was brilliant. The three actors played off each other and the crowd exceptionally well, with many fans asking about the helicopter we’ve seen fly over Jadis’ home and what Negan will do about Simon. Plus, we inched closer to becoming someone who understands “you know what it is”.
Katelyn Nacon musical performance on the Main Stage
The actress who plays Enid took the stage to since three original songs while playing the piano. She showed off her vocal range even played fans songs she wrote only a matter of weeks ago, getting a massive amount of applause from the audience.
Steven Yeun on the Main Stage
It was great to see the Glenn actor on the stage and many fans felt the same way. He got bombarded by fans telling them how much they love him, his character, and the romance Glenn shared with Maggie. This panel went by too quickly and could have used more time.
Costume Contest on the Main Stage
Wow! The people in Chicago go all-out! My personal favorite costume of the day from those entered in the contest was a young man dressed as Carl, complete with angel wings and a bite wound in his side. Other great costumes include zombified versions of characters from Stranger Things, Frozen, and even Santa Claus! However, there was one young woman walking the floor in a Xenomorph costume that could have won it all if she had entered the competition.

All in all, Saturday was a massive success for Walker Stalker Con and Fan Fest. While I mostly stuck to the to The Walking Dead side of things, fans are still able to make their own schedule and see the things that are the highest priority for them.
