The cover for the July 2018 issue of The Walking Dead comics titled ‘Together Strong’ features two relatively new characters in a very familiar setting.

Even though AMC’s The Walking Dead is on break, fans shouldn’t get discouraged. There will still be a ton of undead action for fans to enjoy, with Fear The Walking Dead going strong in season 4 and the comic book series releasing a new issue every month.

In July of 2018, issue 181 of the popular comics will be released. The issue features some unique artwork and a synopsis that could have fans very worried about the future of two fairly new characters to the franchise.

Take a look at the cover from issue 181 titled ‘Together Strong’ as shared on the official website of Image Comics:

Considering there are a few issues between the April and July 2018 installments of The Walking Dead, there will be a lot of speculation as to why these two characters are back-to-back with the undead around them.

Last time fans saw Mercer and Princess, he was stopping her from beating up multiple members of The Commonwealth army after Sebastian propositioned and assaulted members of the group from Alexandria.

Hopefully, all will be forgiven for this incident. These two fighting on the same side will be something to behold since both are very capable survivors yet have contrasting strengths.

On the previous cover, it looked as though The Commonwealth, as well as their leader, made it to Alexandria, but their intentions haven’t been made quite clear. Although it looks like they are on the same side, the synopsis doesn’t sound as positive.

"“Rick leads the Commonwealth’s Governor, Pamela Milton, on a tour of the various communities Alexandria is aligned with. Naturally, terrible things begin to happen very quickly.”"

Terrible things?!? Can’t things just go smoothly for once? C’mon, Robert Kirkman…give us an episode full of only positivity!

Also, eagle-eyed fans will notice a direct correlation between this cover and the cover for issue 92.

The Bill Sienkiewicz variant cover for July will feature Glenn Rhee.
