#3: Ballpark Life

Back in January 2017 we talked about the virtues of building a community inside a stadium. Fear the Walking Dead shows us that life is quite possible inside a ballpark, and in fact people can thrive there. One look around the park reveals that the 47 people living there have everything they need.

The morning announcement at the park indicated that the community has been going strong for 365 days. That’s a solid year at the ballpark, and from the look of things the community has been thriving. There are crops and livestock, power, heated water and luxury suites turned into private quarters. With so much space the community could take on more members and still be able to provide for its residents. (Without the weevils, of course) It’s the perfect place to build a life.

One of the other benefits to this particular ballpark is that it has a nice defensible space outside with a huge parking lot, and unfortunately that’s where the newest members of the cast decided to set up shop.
