Fear the Walking Dead: John and Morgan are a great team

After hearing John Dorie’s story, Morgan shared a moment with John and from the look of things, John and Morgan might be a new team.

John and Morgan have both been through a lot in the apocalyptic world of Fear the Walking Dead. We know almost all of Morgan’s story, but we’re only scratching the surface of John Dorie’s story and so far we like what we see. Over the course of Fear the Walking Dead episode 405, “Laura,” we learn more about this intriguing new member of the Fear family and it turns out that he and Morgan are very similar. Could this be the start of a new partnership?

We’ve seen quite a few “loners” in The Walking Dead universe. In most cases, these loners function best when they’re with a group, but they still prefer to keep to themselves. Morgan began his journey on Fear the Walking Dead by himself, and even after he encountered John and Althea, he still wanted to be alone.

In “Laura” we learn that John Dorie was very much a loner, too. Even before the apocalypse began, he was on his own in the middle of nowhere after killing a man in the line of duty. He’s used to being alone, so when Laura shows up he’s a little rusty when it comes to hospitality but he certainly makes up for it.

After John shared his story with Morgan, though, the two seemed to bond. Both have suffered incalculable loss in the apocalypse and both men are used to spending time on their own as a defense mechanism. Perhaps now that they have discovered this link that they share, they will form a partnership. Neither one talks a lot, and both are capable of taking care of themselves, but why face this world alone if they can do it together?

Morgan and John are a great team. It will be nice to see them continue this partnership in future episode because like it or not they are both in the middle of something they can’t walk away from, but they’ll be better off facing it together.
