Fear The Walking Dead continues leading the pack of scripted drama on cable in the live and extended ratings for Sunday nights.

Fear The Walking Dead once again had the best ratings of any scripted cable drama on Sunday night and continued to trounce HBO’s Westworld by a very consistent million views. The latest episode of Fear The Walking Dead ‘Just In Case’ had 2.3 million live views on Sunday nights.

That is a slight dip from the live ratings of previous weeks. But it’s no surprise that the show had a dip because it was up against Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference Finals. The extended views for the week should rise a little more as people catch up on ‘Just In Case’ on DVR and On Demand.

The extended views for the previous episode ‘Laura’ rose nearly 50% over live views. That’s not a surprise considering fans widely regarded ‘Laura’ as one of the best episodes that the show has ever done. ‘Laura’ had 3.6 million live+3 views and added just over a million views in the first three days after the episode aired.

Fear The Walking Dead’s only real competition in the ratings, HBO’s Westworld, finished with 1.5 million live views. Fear The Walking Dead has been consistently drawing just about a million more live views than Westworld each week so it looks like fans of each show are staying loyal to their favorite each week. As Fear heads towards the midseason finale of its best season so far the numbers should tick up to see what happened at the diamond and what happened to Madison Clark.

The Fear Midseason Finale

There is no new episode of Fear The Walking Dead over Memorial Day weekend but the show will be back on June 3rd with just two episodes left before the midseason hiatus. The innovative mixing of the past and present that the show has used this season have managed to tell the new Fear story from two different angles. Those storylines will most likely come together in the midseason finale.

It’s clear that something bad happened at the diamond, but it’s not clear whether or not that event was the event that caused Alicia, Strand, and Luciana to be so intent on wiping The Vultures out. Each member of the core group had considered leaving the diamond at some point, so it’s possible that they all left and the major conflict with The Vultures happened after that point.

Madison seems to be missing, and it’s possible her fate won’t be revealed until the midseason finale. But as Madison has said herself in Fear The Walking Dead preview clips, “No one’s gone until they’re gone.” So don’t count Madison Clark out just yet Fear Family, if anyone can survive out there alone she can.
