Who will be the next villain(s)?

With Negan and The Saviors defeated who will be the new villain/s on The Walking Dead? The walkers are still a present and real threat as Carl’s death cruelly reminded fans.

No efforts in finding a cure have been made. There is speculation that by following the timeline of the comics the next villains would be The Whisperers.

This group wears the skin from walkers to hide in plain sight and by the sounds of them do not appear to be very friendly. This could mean a whole new kind of walker warfare Rick hasn’t encountered and wouldn’t expect.

However, Maggie’s last words during the season 8 finale might make her a contender next season. Rick’s decision to spare Negan left a sour taste in her mouth, still mourning Glenn with a baby on the way.

Does this mean The Walking Dead will have its ‘first hero turned villain’ scenario? What about Georgie?

Appearing for only one episode with two others and a van she seemed harmless enough and will return once again having taken great interest in Maggie and The Hilltop. When she does will it be with guns raised or open arms?

For that matter, if she isn’t a villain will she bring enemies with her unintentionally?
