Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s own little Negan is adorable
It’s no secret that one of the most popular characters to cosplay from The Walking Dead is Negan, and it looks like even Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s son loves it.
The Walking Dead provides fans who cosplay a vast selection of characters to bring to life in their own personal ways. At any given convention you’re almost guaranteed to run into at least a few Negans – male and female – and a variety of Rick Grimes and Michonnes. Negan has captured the attention of the cosplay community, to be sure, and in a recently shared video it looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s son Gus enjoys bringing Negan to life, too.
Morgan posted a picture of his son Gus making quick work of a watermelon over the weekend. Gus is seen dressed in black boots, jeans and a leather jacket, and the bat in his hand make him the spitting image of the character his father plays on The Walking Dead.

Love Negan or hate him, there’s no question that seeing Gus as Negan is pretty darn cute.
He’s even cuter as he bashes a watermelon into tiny pieces with his bat.
Fans will recall that Negan brought two beloved characters’ run on the show to an end with a few hits from Negan’s barbed-wire baseball bat, Lucille. It was a shocking moment, to be sure, but one that was teased well enough ahead of time that but the time the season 7 premiere came around fans knew it was coming. Even still, seeing Glenn and Abraham meet their maker was hard to watch.

Watching a cute kid smashing a watermelon is a lot more fun, thankfully, and we can only imagine the huge smile on JDM’s face as he watched it all go down.
