Walking Dead alumni Alicia Witt (Paula) has released the first single ‘Younger’)from her upcoming album 15,000 Days, and announced shows in NYC, LA, and Nashville.

On Aug. 24, actress/songwriter Alicia Witt is releasing her long-anticipated album 15,000 Days. Witt, known to The Walking Dead fans for playing Savior Paula on season 6 opposite Carol, first started a fan campaign on Kickstarter for an EP. The Kickstarter campaign amassed a wildly impressive $106,193 in pledges, making the album a reality. It’s a followup to Witt’s last album, Revisionary History, which was produced by songwriter/pianist Ben Folds.

Witt will be taking the show on the road with exclusive shows in New York City at the iconic City Winery on Tuesday, Aug. 28, Los Angeles at Hotel Café on Thursday, Sept. 6 (GA and VIP), and Nashville’s City Winery on Sunday, Sept. 9 (GA + Meet & Greet). VIP ticket holders will be able to meet Alicia Witt prior to the show.

Witt talked about the process of shaping 15,000 Days with Broadway World.

"“When we are younger, when we are 17 or 18, we kind of know exactly who we are. I think I’m a much more similar person to that version of me now than I was a few years ago. So I wrote the song, thinking of how to appeal to that side in somebody else and to have that little child version of you connecting, and letting that be your authentic self, as you go out into the world as an adult.”"

The debut single describes the wonder of discovery in youth lyrically, a trip down memory lane. The song features a sweet sounding melody with a catchy vocal hook starting from 0:32 on with the lyrics “And disappear into the stars above the noise”. A soothing modern track that reflects on Witt’s own experiences both in the beauty and fear of being young.

The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead’s executive producer Gale Anne Hurd and former showrunner/now Walking Dead Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple tweeted about Alicia Witt’s 15,000 Days album.
