Fear the Walking Dead “The Wrong Side of Where You Are Now” saw a line drawn in the sand and Morgan cast his lot distinctly on one side of the line.

There was a moment when there were five groups on the battlefield in Fear the Walking Dead “The Wrong Side of Where You Are Now.” There were the Vultures, Alicia’s group, Naomi, John and Morgan and then Althea. Alicia shot John, who took the bullet for Naomi, Morgan went to John’s aid, the Vultures attacked Alicia’s group, and Althea filmed everything. Though Morgan arrived with everyone else, a line in the sand has been drawn and Morgan walked right over it to help his new friend.

No matter how many times Morgan tries to deny that he needs to be alone, he always encounters people who care about him. Ultimately, people bring out the best in Morgan. In that sense, John Dorie is good for Morgan. Unlike Rick, John would rather avoid a fight and he abhors violence, but we have seen that this gentle cowboy knows how to hit his targets when push comes to shove.

When John gets shot trying to protect Naomi, Morgan can only watch helplessly because a firefight breaks out between Alicia, Strand and Luciana and the Vultures. In “The Wrong Side of Where You Are Now” Morgan made a decision that will no doubt have consequences, but he’s not worried about that. Naomi needed help getting John out of the line of fire, and Morgan rushed to help her.

Morgan’s decision aligned him with Naomi, who is clearly persona non grata with Alicia’s group. He fully crossed over the line in the sand when he told Charlie to come with them as the fled the scene. Charlie killed Nick and they all know it, but Morgan tells her that this violence needs to stop somewhere.

Aligning with Naomi and saving Charlie sent a clear message to Alicia’s group. Morgan is not willing to lose John, which means he’s going to help Naomi. Althea chose to leave the scene to help get John the medical care he needs, so now both groups are back to being on two sides. Given the venomous animosity Alicia has with Naomi, it’s not likely that these two groups will be working together any time soon.
