Gamers have been patiently waiting for a video showing the gameplay from Overkill’s The Walking Dead and sat through numerous delays in production and character reveal teasers waiting for a glimpse of the game itself.
At E3’s PC Gaming show, fans finally got a look at the gameplay in the form of a teaser trailer from Skybound and pulled no punches when it came to getting fans excited for the zombie survival experience.
Check out the gameplay teaser trailer for Overkill’s The Walking Dead from Starbreeze and 505 Games as shared on the official YouTube channel of Skybound:
There are several things to enjoy about this video which should get gamers immediately excited Here are some notable things to take away from the video:
- First person view. Although you’ll be playing as one of the four announced playable characters, the first person gameplay will put you right in the seat of the survivor and add a personal experience to the game.
- Co-operative gameplay. There may only be a limited amount of characters, but that also means that individuals can come together to survive in an environment where they will need to work together.
- LOTS of zombies. Surviving and eliminating the undead will need to be done in a smart and efficient way. The more undead, the more intense the experience can get.
- Plenty of weapons. Pistols, scoped rifles, explosions, knives, and more can be used to not only stay alive but to save others.
At the end of the video, it is revealed that the game will launch in North and South America on November 6, 2018 and two days later everywhere else.
