1. Confirmation That Andrew Lincoln Is Leaving

Confirmation of Andrew Lincoln’s departure is probably the biggest piece of news that could come from The Walking Dead panel at SDCC. If that’s the case (and we suspect it is) then this would mark the final time fans will see Andrew Lincoln in Hall H as a member of the cast.

As soon as reports came out that Lincoln were leaving, fans looked to AMC for confirmation but the network remained mum on the news. This would be the first time Andrew Lincoln has had a very public platform, so it makes sense that he might confirm (or deny!) the reports that he is leaving the show.

Rumors have been swirling about characters from days gone by making an appearance in season 9, which could suggest some kind of flashback for Rick’s character. Though we expect showrunners to keep the details as closely guarded secrets, it would be nice to know what might happen to Rick Grimes in season 9 and whether this is the end, or just a goodbye for now.
