Henry saw and did some horrible thing in season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead and Carol will hopefully be willing to take the young man under her wing.

With season 9 of The Walking Dead inching closer with every passing day, some of the biggest questions regarding what fans can expect from the next sixteen episodes continue to come to light.

One situation viewers of AMC’s popular zombie survival drama series have to be a little curious about is whether or not Henry from The Kingdom will be able to deal with the repercussions of killing a man in cold blood.

Henry is in a bad spot heading into season 9. His father died while assaulting the outposts of The Saviors and his brother Benjamin met his fate after losing too much blood from a gunshot from Jared, meaning his family is gone.

So far, he’s been looking to the community, including King Ezekiel, Jerry, Morgan, and others to help him come to terms with stabbing Gavin through the neck and learning to deal with major losses, but there is one individual with whom he can find a mutually beneficial situation.

Carol has been struggling to find her purpose for numerous seasons now. After losing her daughter Sophia back in season 2, Carol has grown to become a strong survivor who eventually had to deal with the guilt and pain of her actions as well.

Henry and Carol have plenty to offer each other going forward, so it’s no surprise that a recent letter in the mailbag on TheWalkingDead.com confirms they will be developing an even stronger relationship.

An individual named Anu wrote a Tweet asking about this particular duo:

The reply from  gives some great information about what to expect from these two characters going forward and should have fans excited about seeing this situation develop during season 9.

"“Actually, yes. Henry and Carol form a parent/child sort of bond now that Carol’s re-located to the Kingdom”"

At this point, it’s hard to know what kind of role Henry could have in future episodes. He may continue to be more of a minor character, but with the build-up of his story, the hope is that he will be taking on a bigger storyline.

There is a chance he could take on the role of Carl in situations involving The Whisperers since that storyline will need to be altered for when being adapted from the popular comic book series to the hit AMC show.

Also, there is a possibility he that his story will be used to strengthen Carol and The Kingdom rather than being the focus of a plot, which would also be a great use of Henry’s character.

No matter what AMC chooses to do with Henry, it’s going to be fun to watch his relationship with Carol continue to develop as the show heads through season 9.
