Things aren’t looking good for the people from The Commonwealth heading into the October 2018 issue of The Walking Dead comics, as the leadership and their visitors have arrived in the midst of a riot in the streets.
What will happen next could have a major impact on the future of negotiations between the two communities as well as be a huge bargaining chip in how the two groups see the leadership differences dividing them.
Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait until the issue is released to get a look at what lies ahead. Here is the preview for issue 184 as shared on the official Facebook account of The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard.
The first panel is one that should be quite obvious to readers of the comic. This scene looks like it will take place quite early as a continuation of last month’s issue when Rick and the people from Alexandria arrived to check out The Commonwealth. The look of shock on everyone’s faces is priceless…and then there’s Mercer, who looks like he expected this the whole time.
Next, the group looks as though they are running straight into the riot. This isn’t something to be advised, especially since Michonne and Elodie had run away from the danger and it doesn’t look like the people of the community are going to calm down any time soon. Hopefully, they can somehow restore some order.
Finally, Eugene is looking both interested and smug. Judging by the cover of this issue along with the train behind him. it’s possible that this could be a new method of transporting supplies or individuals between the two communities as well as exploring what else is out there along the tracks.
