Reason NOT to help #2: The person you help might become a burden.

Even if the person you help isn’t a total lunatic, that doesn’t mean that helping them will, necessarily, be a great idea.

How so? Well, what if you end up helping someone who just becomes a drain? Someone who does nothing but drags you into otherwise avoidable problems, lowers your morale, and leaves you to do all of the work.

You could end up saddled with such a person, and, if you were a decent enough person to help them in the first place, it might prove difficult for you to just ditch them.

If you end up helping such a person, and they begin traveling with you, make sure you lay down some ground rules so you don’t regret helping them in the first place.
