Announcement 3: Rick is gonna die (eventually)

One of the biggest stories right now in the world of the hit AMC zombie drama is that Rick Grimes will be making his exit from the show in season 9, causing the biggest deviation from the comics yet.

There has been a lot of speculation in the past as to when Rick will say his final farewell from the comics as well, wondering if he would be the last man standing or if the comics would even continue without him.

The official Twitter account of The Walking Dead talked about losing Rick Grimes in the comic books series:

The big takeaway from this announcement is that there is a plan in place to write Rick out of the comics. When it will happen is something that hopefully never gets revealed until it happens in the pages of the comics, but he does deserve a hero’s sendoff.

It would be weird to have a show and comic without Rick, but it could be a reality in the future.
