The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero shared an epic photo from New York Comic Con featuring two of the most famous zombie killers ever.

Celebrity sightings are par for the course at pop culture conventions, and it’s always a big deal when big stars from different franchises cross paths. The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero captured a moment at New York Comic Con between two men who are widely known for killing the undead in two very different though equally beloved franchises: Andrew Lincoln and Simon Pegg.

Andrew Lincoln is well-known as the storied sheriff turned walker killer on The Walking Dead while Simon Pegg is the man who played the titular Shaun from cult classic Shaun of the Dead.

Seeing the two actors in one place is a big deal for zombie fans as both men will go down in the annals of zombie history for their valor in the face of an undead crisis. Even Greg Nicotero notes that Lincoln and Pegg are two of the “best zombie killers ever!”

Zombie movies have been around for a long time. Night of the Living Dead just celebrated its 50th anniversary, and all these years later zombies have not lost their appeal in Hollywood.

It was The Walking Dead, though, that brought zombies into homes on television. Back in 2010 this was a huge gamble for AMC but it was a risk worth taking as the original show heads into its ninth season, the companion show Fear the Walking Dead just wrapped season 4 and AMC executives see a bright future with at least another decade of The Walking Dead content on the horizon.

Pegg starred and co-wrote Shaun of the Dead, the 2004 film that follows a group of friends who discover that the dead have risen all over the world. Shaun decides that the best place to take refuge in all of England is his friendly local pub, The Winchester. Thus begins an odyssey to get to the pub without being bitten, and the movie features a memorable zombie killing scene set to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” that’s not to be missed.
