The Walking Dead 905 has a scene that should be familiar to comic fans

A chilling scene from the teaser video for season 9 episode 5 of The Walking Dead should be very familiar to fans of the popular comic book series.

By now, much has been made about the Sunday, Nov. 4 installment of The Walking Dead being the final episode to feature Rick Grimes. Of course, this episode is both dreaded and looked forward to by fans to see how his story ends.

A teaser video has been released for episode 905 of the zombie survival drama series and it features some chilling scenes, including one that shows Rick Grimes standing among several dead bodies laying on the ground all around him.

Interestingly enough, that scene is not unique to the episode and should be something fans of the comic book series may recognize from a past issue. Check it out here:

At first glance, it’s easy to think these are just walkers among the dead bodies, but that’s not the case in the least. Among the bodies are plenty of familiar faces including Shane, The Governor, Tyreese, Morgan, Lori, and many others who had been lost along the way.

There have been reports of several former actors returning for cameos during season 9, including Jon Bernthal, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Scott Wilson. Those individuals could be among those found in the pile of bodies at Rick’s feet on Sunday.

The episode, directed by executive producer and special effects guru, should contain many more nods to the past as well as likely some comic book throwbacks as well.
