Back at the Kingdom Jerry reassures Carol that the plants will return again. He’s repairing the building and she wonders if the place will keep falling apart. When he calls her “My Queen” she narrows her eyes at him, saying “Jerry” in the same tone as Ezekiel. Jerry smiles and says she’s married to the King and she’s the mother to the prince, so she has to accept the title eventually. She says that’s not happening.

There’s a loud noise and Carol and Jerry run off to the boiler room, where teenage Henry is making repairs. Carol helps him to tape the pipes and the pressure returns to normal. Ezekiel comes in and Henry tells his father that they are barely holding things together and they need better supplies. He stalks away but Ezekiel stops him and tells him to watch his tone.

Later, Henry practices his stick skills while his parents watch. Carol tells Ezekiel their son isn’t wrong. The Kingdom is getting older and Henry wants to fix it. Ezekiel doesn’t want him to leave for the Hilltop, where he would train with Earl (the man who attacked Maggie) in the arts of blacksmithing. Ezekiel is concerned about Henry leaving so close to the “fair” that they’re having. Ezekiel wants his son to be safe and sending him to the Hilltop isn’t a great idea because the Hilltop hasn’t been the same since

Eugene tells everyone that they are breaking the rules by bringing the new people to Alexandria, but Rosita knows. The strangers had bags on their heads and once they’re off they see Alexandria, which looks much better than the other places they have been. Judith tells them they will be safe there, and she takes Magna’s hand. They’re amazed when they walk through the gates. Judith welcomes them to Alexandria, where they’ll be safe. As we look out over the community, it’s clear that Alexandria has become a thriving community with crops and houses and everything you can possibly need. The community has been reborn.

Father Gabriel and some of the residents emerge, including Siddiq and Gracie, who runs to see Aaron. He tells her to stay put while Siddiq hurries to the wagon to help Yumiko. He says the nurses are on standby to help but when Magna wants to go with her they stop her.

Michonne rides in and asks what’s going on. She studies each of them and asks if they’re clean. Eugene confirms it even as Michonne frisks them. Judith says it was her call, and Michonne softens, saying she knows the rules. Aaron says that it has been done and Father Gabriel suggests that they call the council for a vote but give them the night off. They’re to spend the night in holding.

As they walk away, Judith finds the little toy sheriff and picks it up off the ground.

Ezekiel hugs his son, then shakes hands with him for the man he has become. Henry says that he’ll be back before the fair, and Ezekiel gives him the advice his father shared with him. He tells Carol he wishes that he was going with them given the changes at Hilltop, but she says the fair will help a lot. They want it to bring the communities back together as full partners. Carol says Henry, like his father, is a dreamer. And that’s ok. They need dreamers. They need to make changes. Carol has some ideas of how to make that happen. “I’m sure you do, my Queen. I’m sure you do,” he says.
