By Adam Carlson
What can be learned by looking at the cover from issue 188 of The Walking Dead comics? Here is what the image might be teasing from the Feb. 2019 issue!
The Walking Dead loves to tease things that are coming up. One great thing about the comics is how Image Comics and Skybound will reveal the covers of upcoming issues to get people talking about what might happen.
In Feb. 2019, issue 188 of the comics is set to be released and if the cover art has anything to say about what is coming, readers might be in for either a bit of a surprise or be even more skeptical about a new character.
Let’s take a look at the cover for the issue titled “Falling Into Place” as shared on the official website of Skybound:
It looks like the group has returned to the city where they found Princess. The overgrown roads and demolished buildings show this area hasn’t been domesticated anywhere near like what The Commonwealth, Alexandria, The Hilltop, or other communities have.
However, the key here is the figure up ahead. Standing in the road facing the survivors with her weapon drawn is Princess. Easily distinguishable by that pink jacket and big polearm, she appears to be either ready to fight or warning them to stay away.
The synopsis for the upcoming issue adds even more fuel to the fire:
"“Time to learn once and for all–is Princess friend or foe?”"
So far, Princess has been a polarizing character who seems to be very friendly, but who knows what she has planned for the survivors or where her allegiances are?
What do you think of the cover from issue 188 of The Walking Dead comics? Do you think Princess is really going to set up her new “Friends” or is something else going on? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section!
