3. Jesus Saves Glenn and Heath At The Saviors Outpost

Season 6, “Not Tomorrow Yet”

It’s tough to look back on this episode now, knowing all the carnage that came after it. Glenn and Heath were clearly horrified by the massacre that they had committed to being part of. After the unloaded their weapons on a roomful of Saviors they swung open the door to survey the bloody scene inside. As they tried to take in the enormity of what they had just done one of The Saviors, who was dying but not dead yet, lifted a gun to shoot them when he was shot from the back of the room. Jesus was there and efficiently killed the Savior before he could fire on Glenn and Heath.

Jesus was in full ninja mode in that episode. Killing was something he tried to avoid, but when there was no other option he was a swift and efficient killer. That episode was the first episode that showed what a powerful fighter Jesus could be and how well adapted he was to the apocalypse world. In this episode, Jesus proved that while he wanted things done his own way when the survivors were in trouble he would be there to provide the backup they needed. And he always was there for Rick and the others. Jesus liked to stay on the outside of things but he wasn’t afraid to risk his life to help people.
