Steven Yeun is about to enter The Twilight Zone as The Walking Dead alum signs on for Jordan Peele’s reboot of the classic television series.

Jordan Peele, famed director of Get Out, is bringing The Twilight Zone to a whole new audience and The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun has signed on to appear in an episode of the reboot. The anthology, being produced for CBS All Access, features self-contained episodes with star-studded casts

The Twilight Zone is one of those rare shows that has been culturally relevant since its debut. Rod Serling’s stories, which made use of metaphor and science fiction to weave tales of social commentary about the Cold War and other issues facing the nation, are as poignant today as they were in the 1960s.

Jordan Peele looks to follow in Serling’s footsteps with his reboot of the series, creating stories that function as works of fiction as well as cautionary tales about some of the biggest issues facing the world today. Steven Yeun joins Kumail Nanjiani, Jacob Tremblay and Santha Lathan in the cast, though it’s uncertain at this point whether any of the actors will share episodes together.

Yeun, who portrayed Glenn Rhee for seven seasons of The Walking Dead, was a fan favorite who tragically met his end when the villainous Negan was introduced on the series. Since leaving the show, Yeun has appeared in several shows and movies including Sorry to Bother You and the highly acclaimed Netflix movie Okja.

Though he has been away from The Walking Dead for over two seasons, Yeun keeps in touch with The Walking Dead fans by attending fan conventions regularly. He and wife Joana Pak celebrated the birth of their first child in early 2018 and they recently announced that they are expecting a second child in 2019.
