Diane Kruger calls Norman Reedus ‘an amazing dad’
Diane Kruger reflected on 2018 and looked ahead to 2019 in an Instagram post that celebrated her relationship with The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus.
2018 was a great year for Diane Kruger and her boyfriend, The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus. The happy couple both had a great deal of professional success, but nothing comes close to the birth of their baby girl in November. Kruger penned a touching New Year’s tribute to 2018 where she thanked her boyfriend, calling Reedus “an amazing dad.”
Kruger became a mother for the first time when she and Reedus welcomed their daughter in November. They managed to keep the child’s gender a secret for over a month before Kruger let the baby’s gender slip in an interview for her new movie Welcome to Marwen.
In her Instagram post, Kruger thanked her fans for sharing her journey in 2018, but most of all she thanked Reedus: “But above all, I’d like to thank my love @bigbaldhead [Norman Reedus] for giving me our daughter and for being an amazing dad and partner. I love you.”
Though the baby’s name hasn’t been released yet, Reedus released the baby’s first picture on Christmas. It’s a heavily filtered photo, but it’s absolutely adorable to see father and daughter holding hands.
The baby is Reedus’ second child. He has a teenage son, Mingus, with model Helena Christensen. In a fun twist, Reedus’ good friend and Walking Dead costar Jeffrey Dean Morgan also welcomed a baby girl, George, in the spring. It’s fun to think of both men having baby girls in the same year. Something tells us that these girls are going to grow up to be good friends.

2019 promises to be a good year for Reedus, who signed a long-term contract with AMC to star in The Walking Dead for at least three more years while also appearing on Ride with Norman Reedus.
