The Walking Dead 910 recap: Omega
The next morning Daryl goes down with breakfast and finds them both there. Henry says she didn’t want to be along. Lydia tells them that her ear hurts, and everything hurts. Daryl offers her water and the pills. She says her mom isn’t coming for her, not now. If someone dies their herd just keeps going. That’s why she wanted to know about the Hilltop, so she’d have a reason for her mother to take her back. Daryl asks about Luke and Alden, but Lydia doesn’t think they’re still alive. They have a camp by the bridge. Henry asks about the story of her family, but Lydia admits it was all mixed up. Her mom told her the story and what to believe so she was confused, but deep down Lydia knew her mother was a monster.
In another flashback Mattias kills members of the shelter. Her mother tells Frank that they have to leave. She starts to open the window but Frank wants to keep Lydia there with him. Frank tells Lydia to wait for him but he trips and falls on the way out. Lydia’s mother steps on her bear as she goes after him. She stabs Lydia’s father.
Lydia apologizes for not being able to help, but Daryl says she didn’t waste their time.
Yumiko and Magna get home when the sun is up. Yumiko spots Tara and says she wants to talk to her.
Henry chases after Daryl when he leaves the cell. He doesn’t understand why Lydia’s mother lied about her father the whole time. Daryl says some people aren’t supposed to be parents. Henry asks if Lydia can stay with them, so Daryl tells him to get her fresh clothes. Henry tells Daryl he’s glad he’s friends with his mom.
Tara asks Yumiko what they found out there. She’s not surprised that they snuck out. Yumiko offers an apology for leaving. Tara reveals that the guards saw them leaving and they didn’t want to take chances. Tara asks her to come talk to them the next time they want to leave. She’s not sure she’s doing the right thing but she doesn’t want to lose anyone else. Yumiko spots movement in the distance.

Connie ducks into a cornfield while Tara’s guards grab Kelly and bring her inside. Daryl joins Tara on the fence.
