The Walking Dead comics will be getting a new addition to the story of turmoil and chaos happening during the power struggle at the Commonwealth in Apr. 2019 when issue 190 is released.

Thankfully, Skybound and Image Comics have released three panels from the issue titled “Storm The Gates” to get readers excited about the upcoming installment of the story on the official website of Skybound.

In the first panel, Eugene and Stephanie have arrived at the Commonwealth. They now see why the guards who were taken from the site where they were working on repairing the train. Smoke and flames are rising from the center of the community. They likely were about to arrive when the explosion happened at Mercer’s cell…or this could be a new explosion, which wouldn’t be good.

Next, Michonne has a rifle and is ready to fight. It’s still kind of unknown which side of the battle she’s on, but Elodie has spoken out in defense of the citizens. It would be interesting if they were on different sides of the battle, but with the leadership of the Commonwealth running away she likely will side with those pushing for a revolution.

Finally, someone is shouting for Rick, which catches him off guard. Based on the panel, it’s hard to tell where he is or who might be shouting for him, and with so many people arriving at the Commonwealth or seeing what is happening with the public display of an explosion and rally in the streets.
