The Walking Dead looking to cast background actors for season 10
By Adam Carlson
The Walking Dead is looking for a specific type of background actor to cast for season 10 of their popular AMC zombie survival drama series.
When it comes to the casting of The Walking Dead, the hit AMC show has done a great job of assembling some of the best talents ever to grace the small screen. Amazing actors like Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and more have brought the zombie apocalypse to life for fans all around the world.
However, it takes more than the big names to make a show work. Often, individuals are needed to fill in for scenes whether it being a living character or a walker to seek out the flesh of the survivors on the show.
Recently, Backstage.com announced that The Walking Dead is seeking individuals who fit a certain profile to join the show for season 10 as a background actor with some specific qualifications. Here is what they are reportedly looking for:
"“Skinny actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted. Darker hair and big eyes are preferred. Men must be clean-shaven and allergies to prosthetics or latex will not be permitted. Filming will take place in May in Atlanta, Georgia.”"
The obvious thought here is that the show is looking for actors to play walkers for the upcoming season. Thin individuals who will be wearing prosthetics with big eyes are traits common to the walkers on the undead drama and would be a fun way to be a part of one of the biggest shows of the last decade.
If you think you fit those qualifications, you can submit your application HERE!
Best of luck to those who apply to be an extra on The Walking Dead for season 10. If you are interested, you should apply quickly to be sure your name gets in the mix before the May 1, 2019 deadline.
