Maggie Grace to star in new horror film Incident on 459
Maggie Grace may be used to dealing with zombies on AMC’s hit series Fear the Walking Dead, but her newest role will have her facing a demonic possession at 30,000 feet.
Fear the Walking Dead‘s Maggie Grace has landed a role in an upcoming new horror film titled Incident on 459. Based on the film’s description, this sounds like something that Fear fans will love.
According to Deadline, Incident on 459 tells the story of an international flight en route from Boston to London. All hell breaks loose, quite literally, when a passenger on board the flight is possessed by a demonic presence. It’s up to the other passengers on the plane must figure out how to defeat the demon and how to land the plane safely before suffering a fatal crash landing.
Grace will be playing the role of Valerie, a passenger on the flight. Valerie is a single mom to a special needs child and works as a psychologist. She lives her life grounded in her beliefs, principles, and morals, but all of that is tested when she and her ex-boyfriend, who happens to be on the same flight heading to London, must work together to deal with the demonically possessed passenger.
Incident on 459 will be directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw), and the script was penned by Chris Sparling. The film is being produced through Tungstene Production by Jean Charles Lévy, Morgan Emmery and Julian Gross and through Apple Tree Productions by Vlad Ryashin and Olias Barco. Lévy gave a statement to Deadline on the upcoming production of the film. He said:
"“We read Chris’ script and immediately fell for it and we’re incredibly excited to have Kevin and Maggie onboard. We are building a dedicated set in Kiev for this plane which will have all the tools to maximize production value. We want this to feel as real and large as possible so that when people watch it, they’ll feel they’re on the plane themselves with a growing sense of claustrophobia and terror.”"
Incident on 459 will be sold internationally at the forthcoming Cannes market later this month.
