By Adam Carlson
Collectors and nostalgic fans will want to ensure they get their hands on the special commemorative edition cover for issue 192 of The Walking Dead comics!
It’s not often that a cover for a comic book is announced after the issue is released, but that is exactly what happened with issue 192 of The Walking Dead comics after it was released on June 5. 2019.
Of course, the reason the release of the cover wasn’t shared before the release was because of the nature of the cover itself. However, it has now been revealed and fans should be sure to get their hands on it.
Here is the special commemorative edition cover for issue 192 of The Walking Dead titled “Aftermath” as shared on the official website of Skybound:
The first cover was the normal one featuring Carl Grimes standing in Alexandria. The second one was a blank variant. So it’s fitting that a third cover would pay tribute to the man himself, Rick Grimes after the shocking events in issue 192 of the comic book series.
A black and white vision of RIck standing in front of a red background with gold embossed letters memorializing the man with the years he was a part of the popular comic book series beneath his name.
Charlie Adlard’s artwork highlights the cover and is a nice tribute to the man who did so much over the course of his run in the comic book series. The stoic look on Rick’s face as he looks off into the distance is a nice reminder of some of the patience he showed as a leader throughout the years.
Readers of the comics who are hoping to get their hands on a copy of The Walking Dead issue 192 with the special commemorative edition cover are advised to call their local comic shop immediately and request this issue using Diamond ID APR198094 before June 10. It is bound to be in high demand!
