Fear the Walking Dead 504 synopsis: Skidmark

Fear the Walking Dead continues with season 5 episode 4 “Skidmark.” Here’s your synopsis of episode 504, airing June 23.

This week’s episode of Fear the Walking Dead is titled “Skidmark,” which also happens to be the name of Salazar’s cat. Is there a connection? Let’s hope, because times are getting desperate.

After last week’s episode we learned that siblings Annie, Max and Dylan are actually the ones behind the bowel blockades, and then we saw that Dwight joined the group after encountering John Dorie and June at Humbug’s Gulch. For now, Dylan is with Alicia while they search for Max and Annie, but they have no idea that Annie and Max are out there waiting for them.

Meanwhile, Strand, Sarah, Wendell and Charlie have to find another way to make it over the mountains because the plane isn’t coming. Though they’re all quite capable, things are more complicated than they thought they would be when they embark on their rescue mission. In the middle of all of this, Charlie finds herself meeting someone who understands who she is and appreciates her tenacity.

“Skidmark” marks the halfway point in the first half of season 5 and it’s clear that a perimeter is being laid. Someone wants to keep the group from getting closer, like so many other groups that they have tried to help. So far it looks like Annie and Max’s handiwork, but what are they hiding? Can Alicia manage to convince them that they really do want to help?
