After what happened in the June issue of The Walking Dead comics, it’s hard to figure out why a farm house would be the focus of issue 193.

Fans are still devastated by the events of issue 192 of The Walking Dead but the series must go an and another issue of the popular comic book series is set to be released in less than a week to nervous readers.

With the entire scope of the series changed and more parts of the story looking dire or in serious pain, the question of what is next must be on the mind of fans considering everything that has and possibly could go wrong.

Thankfully, the three-panel preview was released for issue 193 titled “The Farm House” and it is a bit confusing as far as what it might be in store. Here is the teaser as shared by The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard on his Facebook page.

For the second month in a row, nothing is really given away by the preview page. While there are three panels included, each of them doesn’t really offer any kind of hint as to the identity of the individual on the cover of the issue or what will be happening inside the issue. Instead, what we get is what looks like one full page of the issue which shows someone approaching the farm house.

Last month, the group from the Commonwealth left for Alexandria and things weren’t going well for Carl on the ride back. A quick read of the synopsis for the issue sheds a little light on the identity of the individual:

"“Meanwhile…out in the countryside, trouble is brewing for a certain someone.”"

The use of the word “meanwhile” is a bit of a hint. This likely means it isn’t someone who is involved in what has been occurring at the Commonwealth and has been out on their own. Possibly someone like the fan favorite Negan still trying to survive the apocalypse on his own.

Fans will have to wait until the issue is released on July 3, 2019 to find out for sure if it really is the former leader of the Saviors at the farm house, but for now, it looks as though the focus of The Walking Dead comics will be shifting away from Carl and the Commonwealth.
