Drawn of the Dead hits Shrewsbury Museum with The Walking Dead art
By Adam Carlson
Shrewsbury Museum in England is hosting the Drawn of the Dead exhibition featuring the work of The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard.
Charlie Adlard is a fixture in the world of The Walking Dead. His artwork brings the story of The Walking Dead comics to life each month and he is continually working to help bring creativity and reading to more people around the globe.
Fans of his as well as the popular Image Comics and Skybound comic will want to make their way to Shrewsbury, England where the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery will be hosting an exhibit of his amazing work until Nov. 3, 2019.
Titled Drawn of the Dead, there is a ton of great undead artwork to take in at the exhibition and amazing activities to participate in as well. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- Original The Walking Dead pieces
- Massive set pieces to allow an immersive experience
- A zombie life drawing session where you can craft your own walker
- An atmosphere created by sculptor Andrew Bryden
- A balcony where you can look at other work from Adlard, including Vampire State Building, Code Flesh, and White Death.
- And more!
Fans of former UK Comics Laureate Charlie Adlard will be even more excited to learn that he will be once again taking care of inking duties for The Walking Dead comics now that Stefano Gaudiano will no longer be performing those duties. This should give the artwork a feel similar to the feel prior to All-Out War in the comic book series.
The Drawn of the Dead exhibit opened on June 1 and will run all the way until Nov. 3, 2019. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to create your own zombie art like in The Walking Dead comics each month from Image Comics and Skybound.
