The Walking Dead comic issue 193 recap: The Grimes family legacy
By Adam Carlson
The book is one about hope. One about the dead not wanting to stay dead anymore and how scary it was. It was called “The Trials” and many good, strong people were lost along the way. The lines between good and bad blurred with rules becoming arbitrary. People were sad and worried things wouldn’t get better.
But a man came at the darkest time to let everyone know it was okay to be sad. He had an idea that if people could get together they could restart the world. They meet some good people and some bad people, but worked hard to stay a good person himself.
He made some bad people good and helped to make weak people stronger. That strength made some people angry but instead, he tried to redirect those feelings. But he didn’t survive The Trials: Rick Grimes died.
But his teachings will live on and people can follow in his example. Happiness has returned to the world and people feel safe because of the efforts of Rick Grimes.
A tear rolls down Carl’s eye as he finishes the story, telling Andrea that she would have really liked her grandfather Rick…as she asked Carl to read it again as the series comes to an end.
That’s right. The Walking Dead comic book series has come to an end and this is the final issue. The story has come to an end, but there is still a lot more zombie action to enjoy on the hit AMC shows and in mobile and video games!
