Who is leading the propaganda campaign against the Whisperers that we see featured in The Walking Dead season 10 trailer?

With so many crazy moments in the season 10 trailer released during San Diego Comic Con, it is easy to overlook the scene showing a hooded character painting the message “Silence the Whispers” across Alexandria.

After Alpha (Samantha Morton) and the Whisperers brutally murdered many beloved members of the group, including Henry (Matt Lintz), Enid (Katelyn Nacon), Tara (Alanna Masterson), and Jesus (Tom Payne), the community is under duress. With such heavy losses weighing down on them, the group will need to try and honor the fallen while dealing with a threat unlike any they have ever encountered.

Now that unrest has been planted within the group, could the Whisperer War tear Alexandria apart from the inside?

In an April interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Angela Kang mentioned that the show will be exploring propaganda and “what a cold war [is] like in The Walking Dead” in season 10, so it seems likely that we will see how the group handles a conflict involving both physical and psychological warfare.

While we won’t find out until season 10 premiers on October 6, here are a few characters who could be behind the anti-Whisperer propaganda seen in the trailer.
