Fear the Walking Dead returns for 5B with episode 509 “Channel 4.” Here’s what you need to know to watch it on TV and online.

They made have flown back over the mountain range to reunite with the rest of the gang, but the Fear the Walking Dead crew have a lot to worry about in the second half of season 5. The mid-season premiere, “Channel 4,” takes place a few months after episode 508 and it follows the group as their missions continue. But things have changed since we last saw them.

After repeated failed attempts at trying to help people, there’s a renewed interest in finding survivors after the group managed to fix a plane and fly home. With a boost of confidence under their belt, they’re off and running on their missions despite the threats at the oil fields that Logan hinted at in the mid-season finale.

Now that the show is back for the second half of season 5, it will be interesting to see how the new members of the group – Salazar, Grace and Dwight (and all of those kids) – fit into the group dynamics. Salazar had multiple connections to the group already, both with Alicia and Strand as well as Althea, so it shouldn’t be too hard for him to fit in again, if that’s what he wants to do. With so many people to watch out for, however, there’s no question that the stakes are higher than ever before.
