Fans hoping to reminisce about the momentous and painful moments from the ninth season of The Walking Dead won’t have to wait long to watch it on Netflix.
Season 9 was a big one for The Walking Dead. Everything changed as some important characters made their exit and some powerful new faces emerged. The 16 episodes were a roller coaster of a watch for fans, but those hoping to take that ride again will soon be in luck.
As many fans already know, Netflix is the home for streaming the popular AMC drama’s episodes. With the first eight seasons of the undead drama already there for fans to enjoy, the ninth season will soon join the fray.
According to What’s On Netflix, fans in the United States and Canada can expect season 9 of The Walking Dead to be added on SEPTEMBER 1, 2019!
Because of region locks on Netflix, there is no blanket date for when fans around the world will have season 9 available. However, it’s nice to know that those great episodes featuring big moments involving Rick Grimes as well as the Whisperers are on their way.
This is perfect timing for the season to hit Netflix since season 10 will be starting up on AMC in October. That means rabid followers of the show will have over a full month to get caught up or refreshed on the events from season 9 in time for the new episodes to air.
Sept. 1 will be a big day for Netflix since they have several major films and shows hitting the streaming service on that date. Here is a list of some of the big releases that day:
- Igor (2008)
- Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 6)
- My Sister’s Keeper (2009)
- Serial Killer with Piers Morgan (Season 1)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
- And more!
If you have watched season 9 of The Walking Dead, now is a great time to get caught up or relive the amazing episodes. If you haven’t seen them, you’re in for a real treat as these 16 episodes are sure to draw a big reaction from first-time viewers. Enjoy!
