Grace truly understands Morgan

I am by no means saying that others haven’t seen Morgan’s point of view, or sympathized with him. The relationship he has with Rick is one of the biggest in the entire Walking Dead universe. They always seem to find each other. However, Grace understands and can relate to Morgan in a very deep way from the very start of their friendship.

They do share a similar loss, Grace might not have seen a significant other devour a child. However, to keep her job running she called in her coworkers and their families and she feels she was the cause of many deaths.

One moment I loved between Morgan and Grace was when he admitted to using her in a way where he knew if he made it about his own life that the situation would work out in his favor and Grace would join him. Grace responds with, “so you have the same problem as I do, you think everyone else’s life is more valuable than yours.” As soon as she said that, the smile Morgan has faded. Grace just dropped a huge truth bomb on him, it seems that was the first time he realized that.

I was cheering when she said that. Finally, somebody made Morgan look inward. While Eastman taught him many valuable things about life itself and made Morgan live with more of a purpose, I don’t think after Morgan met back up with Rick that he had a true goal. Hence why he kept running after, looking for his well being.

Which leads me into my next reason, if the great Rick Grimes can’t make you stay, it must take one very special person to make you feel you belong,
