Just Survive Somehow

Season 6, episode 2 “JSS”

Sara K. says:

My favorite moment in season 6 was in the episode titled “JSS”. We got to see a flashback where Enid saw her parents get devoured by walkers. This was extremely hard for Enid to move on from. Enid marked the car window with the letters “JSS”, which stand for “Just Survive Somehow”. Later on in the flashback, Enid stumbles upon Alexandria, but feels unsure of whether or not she should go inside. She remembers her mantra, JSS, and decides to go inside. I really loved this moment because it showed that Enid wanted a better life for herself even though she went through so much pain by having her parents taken away from here.

Enid knew that she had to figure out a way to survive somehow, and by her choosing to go to Alexandria was a step in the right direction. I found this moment to be incredibly inspirational in being able to push through your pain, and find a way to survive for yourself. Enid was incredibly strong and brave in this moment. I enjoyed seeing her story play throughout the series, even though it sadly came to an end in season 9. That doesn’t mean that Enid didn’t live by her own words, she created a path to hope, strength, and survival.  Her legacy will be cherished forever.
