7. Carol Leaving On The Boat

The season premiere featured Carol returning from her trip out to sea, and from the sound of it this wasn’t her first voyage. How did the first trip come about?

Carol is a very strong woman who faced unspeakable horrors since the apocalypse began, and just when things were starting to look up, she lost her beloved son. That loss sent Carol on a downward spiral of grief and it makes perfect sense that she’d want to take advantage of any opportunity she could find to get away for awhile.

At the end of season 9 she returned to Alexandria with Michonne and the group and she looked happier, so it would be interesting to know how the trips on the boat came about and how her decision to leave was received. While we’d like to think that Daryl was there to say goodbye, there’s also a very good chance that he skipped the farewell in favor of being there to greet Carol upon her return.

6. The Decision To Train At Oceanside

Oceanside featured prominently in the season 10 premiere but no one had seen or heard from the community in the span of time between Arat’s execution and the singing of the charter.

There must have been a decision not to raise an army in Alexandria, which is strange considering that Alpha already knows about the community’s location. Then again, the training might have started in Alexandria or the Hilltop before moving to the beach.

When everyone came together at the Fair, the relations between the communities seemed strained but we have to think that after what happened with the Whisperers everyone made coming together a priority. Training at Oceanside, then, was probably a strategic move to bring as many people together as possible without attracting attention in Alexandria.
