As if the fallen tree wasn’t enough, the Hilltop is plagued with theft and a secret in this week’s all-new episode of The Walking Dead. In “What It Always Is”, we also learn what happened after Negan escaped.

The Hilltop community has been through a lot in the past few seasons. Maggie left, Jesus was killed and Tara lost her head along with Enid. Now Ezekiel is living there and the fallen tree presented a challenge for the community. However, something else seems to be happening because supplies are missing and he’s harboring a secret. But what could it be?

In the preview and sneak peek of the new episode, fans also find out what Negan does with his newfound freedom. As it happens, he has a big fan and it’s someone we know from Alexandria. But what will Negan this of his fan?

Here’s the synopsis of The Walking Dead 1005, “What It Always Is”:

“Supplies go missing from Hilltop, Negan is idolized by an Alexandrian, and Ezekiel holds a secret.”

If the first three episodes of the season helped to establish what happened between the season 9 finale and the season 10 premiere, “Silence the Whisperers” served to move the story ahead and now we’re getting into the thick of the season 10 plot with “What It Always Is.” The stage is set and things are about to get ugly because Alpha is making big moves according to the preview. She’s changing the nature of the game and it will be everything the survivors can do to keep up.
