The Walking Dead 1007 synopsis: Open Your Eyes

The Walking Dead continues with “Open Your Eyes.” Here’s your synopsis of season 10 episode 7 airing November 17, 2019.

The first half of The Walking Dead season 10 is about to come to a close and the penultimate episode, “Open Your Eyes”, sets up the story as tension with the Whisperers continues to cause problems while Alexandria is overrun with sick people.

Carol has a definite plan when it comes to Alpha and her pack. In episode 1006 she went out to find the horde, but she ended up capturing a Whisperer instead. The move caught Daryl off guard but he’s going to support her because there’s no turning back now. The question, though, is what to do with him. Now that he has been captured they won’t be able to release him, so what is Carol’s plan?

Meanwhile, things are going from bad to worse in Alexandria as more people get sick. What started as a flu bug has turned into a full blown epidemic and Siddiq knows that they need to get ahead of it before it wipes out the entire community. We know that Alpha tasked Gamma with using walkers to dam up the creek, but would the walker water be enough to cause the infection? And why is it so sporadic, with only certain people affected?

While Siddiq struggles to find the cause of the illness, he’s still reeling from his PTSD and it’s threatening to take over his life. In episode 1006 he woke up with Coco on top of the windmill. If he doesn’t find a way to cope with his PTSD and the memories of what happened.
