Negan

I hate to admit it, but I have never been a Negan fan. This season I have started to gain an appreciation for him that I wasn’t expecting.

He’s still loud, brash and seems to relish pushing buttons on everyone around him, but we are also seeing Negan be there for Lydia when she was being bullied as well as killing Brandon for the senseless murder of a woman and her child.

Negan’s scenes with Beta have made me laugh and wish for more. The comedic and entertaining side of the former leader of the Saviors is a great balance to his sharp tongue and ability to get under people’s skin.

Watching Negan try to fit in with a group that pretty much only speaks in whispers is comedy gold. I wonder how much of his comic arc will play out on the show and if Lydia will be a part of it.

We’ve only started his journey with Alpha and the Whisperers and I am very much looking forward to seeing that play out on-screen. He seems like such a polar opposite to the way his new group lives that his attempt to join will likely have major ramifications.
