1. Alpha’s story ends by Negan’s hand

A story of one of the most glorious TV villains in history comes to a close. Ultimately fans do rejoice at this death but it’s quite bittersweet. No villain will ever compare to Alpha, not only that but Samantha Morton brought her to life so beautifully. Samantha made this character seem so effortlessly evil, even as just a reanimated head Alpha was terrifying. So thank you to Samantha for making this character epic.

This tops the list for a few reasons, one, of course, is stated above, it’s not every day something this huge happens. Second, how it happened. Straight off the comic pages! Negan was swift and brutal, he slit her throat and they had this weird, otherworldy kiss as the life drained from her.

Another reason is because of how Negan was released. We learn that Carol was the one to let Negan loose so that he could go after Alpha. He was successful in the end but at what cost? He was the reason the children couldn’t make it out as he blocked the road and whether he wanted to or not he participated in the war. None of which he could have done if he wasn’t released.

Lastly, what does this mean for the future? Fans shouldn’t rejoice quite yet. Alpha is now gone but her legacy lives on even stronger through Beta. He will not hesitate to steamroll everything in his path to avenge the death of his soulmate. So did killing Alpha solve anything? In all honesty, killing her just made everything so much worse. Beta has no reservations. Our group will pay, and only time will tell how.
