TWD star Jeffrey Dean Morgan discovered his son Gus wearing a Rick Grimes shirt.

We all know how it goes when it comes to laundry day. By the time you run out of clean clothes you never know what you might end up wearing, and for The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s son Gus it means possibly switching loyalties.

Morgan posted a picture of his son, Gus, wearing a Rick Grimes shirt. Not only is it a Rick Grimes shirt, but it’s a shirt that reads “America needs Rick Grimes.”

As Morgan notes in the caption, this pushes the concept of “unconditional love” to its boundaries: “Snake in the grass. Unconditional love getting pushed tonight.”

It is no secret that there is a lot of love between Morgan and Andrew Lincoln, and as soon as Negan made an appearance on The Walking Dead their friendship blossomed. Any time the duo is seen together there is usually a great deal of laughter and jokes between them.

Speaking of jokes, this leads to the big question: Where did Gus get the shirt in the first place? Did Hilarie Burton Morgan slip it to him as a joke, or was it a prank gift, possibly from Lincoln or “uncle” Norman Reedus?

Or, maybe, the shirt actually belongs to Morgan himself.

The mystery continues…

Fans have had a chance to learn more about Morgan and his family with AMC’s quarantine show Friday Night In with the Morgans. Gus and George have made appearances, as have some of Mischief Farm’s famous residents.

Friday Night In has been helpful in the wait to see what happens in The Walking Dead season 10 finale, which still needs some post-production work before it is ready to air. With reopening taking place in California there is hope that fans might see the finale sooner rather than later, especially after Reedus’ recent comments that the finale is going to be “epic.”

Friday Night In with the Morgans airs Friday nights at 10pm ET on AMC.
