Norman Reedus: The Walking Dead season 10 finale will be epic

Norman Reedus believes The Walking Dead finale will be worth the wait.

While fans of The Walking Dead wait patiently for the big season 10 finale to air, questions of what to expect from episode 1016 have been circulating the mainstream media as well as with fans on social media.

The confrontation with the Whisperers has been one of the most intriguing storylines in the show’s recent history and the big cliffhanger from the penultimate episode of season 10 should have a lot of fans worried about their favorite characters.

Recently, Entertainment Weekly had an interview with Norman Reedus where he talked about the upcoming episode that will air at a date to be determined. Here is what the Daryl Dixon actor had to say:

“It’s going to be an epic battle,” promises Norman Reedus. “It’s like a full-on Game of Thrones super war battle.”

The clash should be a legendary one with the group of survivors being pitted against the remaining members of the Whisperers as well as a massive number of walkers looking to feast on the flesh of some of the show’s most popular characters.

Why is comparing The Walking Dead to Game of Thrones notable?

Game of Thrones is known for creating epic scenes of violence of gore. A statement like this raises the bar for what should be a series-changing episode to end season 10. Judging by the sound of filming the episode, it could live up to the hype.

“We really pushed the crew and pushed the actors on that one. Everyone really had to dig deep because… talk about exhausting episodes! There were huge battle scenes until the wee hours of the morning consistently, and it looks so grand on an epic scale. Those battle scenes are going to be legendary.”
