Robert Kirkman will appear in two Skybound panels at SDCC at Home

San Diego Comic-Con might be cancelled, but SDCC at Home will offer fans a chance to connect with their favorite celebrities and creators. Skybound will have a presence at the first-annual event, and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman will take part in two panels.

Skybound and Robert Kirkman have enjoyed a long history with SDCC, so it’s no surprise that they will return for the virtual event. With free access, more fans than ever before will be able to watch the panels and learn about current and upcoming projects.

What’s more is that fans have a chance to have their questions answered during the panels. Skybound is inviting fans to submit questions by posting them on the Skybound social media channels.

With COVID-19 flaring up all over the world after months-long shelter in place orders, traveling to San Diego for the annual pop culture juggernaut was never feasible for 2020. (Not to mention the fact that the San Diego Convention Center is currently being used as a homeless shelter during the pandemic) Conventions all over the country are experimenting with virtual models given that there is no telling when large gatherings of people will be allowed in the future.

Here are descriptions for the two planned panels:

"IN CONVERSATION WITH ROBERT KIRKMAN: Creator Robert Kirkman answers fan questions on his titles including THE WALKING DEAD, INVINCIBLE, FIRE POWER, OBLIVION SONG, and more!SKYBOUND PRESENTS: COMICS & CREATORS: A panel of Skybound’s comic book creators including Robert Kirkman, the team behind EXCELLENCE, and more come together to discuss their latest projects."

Now that Robert Kirkman has been confirmed for the event, there is no question that AMC will likely announce which casts will be present for panels. It makes sense for Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond to appear in some capacity given that Fear’s season 6 will premiere this summer, and World Beyond debuts later this year.

It’s possible that The Walking Dead cast could appear to promote the season 10 finale, depending on when the episode is ready to air. Currently, things are slow to reopen in Los Angeles due to spikes in COVID-19 cases, and post-production takes place in LA-based studios.
