Robert Kirkman announces The Walking Dead Deluxe comics

It is The Walking Dead comics like you’ve never seen before!
If you thought The Walking Dead was done with their comic book series, Robert Kirkman’s announcement at the Skybound Xpo has to be a completely shocking surprise, yet a very welcome one.
On July 18, 2020 during a panel titled Skybound Past, Present, and Future with Hector Navarro and David Alpert, Kirkman made the mind-blowing announcement that the entire comic book series will not only be getting a facelift but it will include some new content as well.
The Walking Dead Deluxe is coming to comic shops near you soon and according to the announcement on Skybound’s The Walking Dead Twitter account, you’re not going to want to miss this.

It’s in color!
One of the most distinguishing characteristics of The Walking Dead comics is that it has vibrant, colorful covers with excellent black and white artwork inside. However, those wondering what the series would look like as a full-color comic are in luck because it will be in full color thanks to Dave McCaig.
The Cutting Room Floor
Have you ever wondered what kind of things the comic planned but never quite made it into the final issues? Seeing the original concept ideas being shared will be quite interesting and fun for comic fans anywhere.
A familiar face
Another iconic thing about the comics is the iconic artwork of Charlie Adlard. The extremely talented artist will be lending his talents to the series and will have some creative and fun covers for the issues. In addition, David Finch, Tony Moore, Julian Totino Tedesco, and Arthur Adams will have variants.
Hitting hard and fast
Those who are excited about the new comics won’t have to wait long. Kirkman announced that the first issue will be dropping on Oct. 7 with a new installment being released twice a month.
Fans won’t have to wait too long for The Walking Dead Deluxe and it will be something every collector is going to want in their possession. Watch for it to come to a comic shop near you this October.
