Fear the Walking Dead season 6 could be big for John Dorie

New teaser from Fear the Walking Dead highlights John Dorie again in a big way

With each crumb of information fans get from Fear the Walking Dead about season 6, things just get darker and darker. This new promo is no exception. While some footage is reused from other promos we do get additional scenes from characters. One person who gets new and old scenes alike in the new teaser is John Dorie.

When the trailer dropped at San Diego Comic-Con, John Dorie was a huge part of it, which immediately worried fans of his character. He looked defeated and desperate. For such a sweet person, this tugs at the heartstrings. There is no doubt he didn’t want to lose June again and now he is stuck not knowing if she is okay. He also has strong bonds with Morgan and Charlie so for everyone to be ripped away is awful.

The start of this new teaser is John Dorie putting on his hat and seemingly going on a mission with purpose by the way he confidently walks. The reused footage is where he is beating up Strand in the middle of the town. What adds to speculation is directly after the fight scene viewers get a glimpse of a very dapper looking Strand with a devilish grin walking away.

Viewers know Strand managed to get along decently enough with Virginia that he and Alicia were able to stay together, a deadly duo. Fans also know Strand was previously a con man, and in earlier seasons he used this to his advantage. So in season 6, Strand could be falling back into these ways to help the group.

While viewers don’t know why John would be fighting his friend Strand, the crumbs left by these teasers do paint a picture that Strand could be up to his old tricks. John Dorie is not a man who would approve or understand this, so he could be going after Strand thinking he is trying to undermine what John is trying to accomplish.

One thing in particular that stands out within all teasers is that John Dorie is in multiple locations. Most of all other characters seem to be trapped or tied to one area. So what exactly does Virginia have him doing that allows him to be in many places? The new teaser also shows us walker feet in sand. Will John Dorie land somewhere near a coast in his travels?

In season 4 when fans met John Dorie he became an instant fan favorite. His charming personality and love for others is something that fans adore about him. He is an expert marksman with a heart of gold. Hopefully, season 6 doesn’t create wounds for him that cannot heal. If Virginia finds out about his talent with a gun and makes him use it for evil, John will never be the same.
