The Walking Dead has some ‘utterly cool Negan stuff’ coming

Fans can look forward to some cool Negan stuff in the future of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
It is a bit sad that The Walking Dead will be coming to a close following season 11 of the popular AMC zombie drama series but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some big things that can happen before the final curtain closes on the series.
One of the most interesting and polarizing characters in the show’s television universe is Negan. The former leader of the Saviors is at the point in the comic book series where he is exiled into solitude and doesn’t get much attention at all.
However, it sounds like that won’t be the case for AMC’s Negan, as Scott M. Gimple made a comment that seems to ensure big things are coming for the character.
During the panel for The Walking Dead: World Beyond at the virtual New York Comic-Con, many of the show’s cast and crew took to the comments section on YouTube to have a conversation with viewers and each other during the stream. One of those in the chat was Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple.
Gimple responded to a question in the chat with some great words for those hoping to see more from Negan.

Odds are that any of the “utterly cool” stuff created for Negan will be unique to the AMC show. However, the interesting part of this quote is the year, which likely hints that one of the six bonus episodes for season 10 could focus on the leather-jacket wearing badass since season 11 will likely not air until 2022.

Those six episodes are said to focus on the fallout from the season 10 finale of The Walking Dead and could shed more light on his decision to stay with the group instead of going off on his own as well as what his role could be if he manages to stay outside the jail cell in Alexandria.
