Fear The Walking Dead is set to return to AMC on April 11. After the first seven episodes of season six aired, fans were sad to learn the mid-season finale would be postponed due to production delays. Now, we have a release date for the finale and the remaining episodes in season six.

The finale will flow right into the storyline of the 6b episodes. This is great news as there are many unanswered questions from the 6a episodes.

As soon as the spring release date was confirmed, more exciting news was announced. The series will be bringing on three new characters. Joining the cast will be John Glover (The Good Wife, Smallville, Scrooged), Nick Stahl (Carnivale, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Sin City), and Keith Carradine (Madam Secretary, Fargo, Deadwood).

With that casting news also comes the news that Aisha Tyler directed episode 613. She is known for her work as a director on Criminal Minds, Roswell, New Mexico and Axis.

When can you watch season 6 of Fear The Walking Dead?

The new episodes of FearTWD will release on April 11, but if you are an AMC+ subscriber, you will be able to view the new episode on Thursday before its release date.

Talking Dead is also scheduled to air following the April 11 episode. There is no news on the guestlist for that episode at the writing of this article.

The cast is gearing up for the release as many of them took to social media to announce the news.

AMC’s synopsis for the season is as follows:

"As Morgan’s (Lennie James) bid to free the remaining members of the group becomes bolder, Virginia (Colby Minifie) grows increasingly desperate to find her sister and protect the settlements from forces working inside and outside her walls. The second half of Season Six reveals the impact of what living under Virginia’s control has done to each person in this group, who once saw themselves as a family. New alliances will be formed, relationships will be destroyed, and loyalties forever changed. When everyone is forced to take sides, they discover the meaning of, “The End is the Beginning.”’"

We know from the promo trailer released recently that season seven of FearTWD is set to have at least something released before the end of the year. With The Walking Dead also announcing it will have something for its eleventh season before the end of 2021, this could mean they may air closely to one another. We can throw World Beyond into this mix as it will also have episodes during this year.
